Sometimes I’m so tired, pulled in so many different directions.
I feel a great sense of responsibility for things that I have no business feeling responsible for.
I feel overwhelmed.
Then I awake to a new day, look out my window at another amazing sunrise . . . and hear the Voice of the Lord calling, . . . “Come.”
“But I don’t have time . . . there is so much to do . . .”
I stop. I find a quiet place and I listen.
He calms my racing thoughts. He assures me that all I have to do is “the next right thing” and He will take care of the rest.
PEACE comes down, flowing from the Heavens and into my soul.
A song arises and with gratefulness I sing:
Your Love, Oh Lord
Reaches to the heavens
Your faithfulness
Stretches to the skies
Your righteousness
Is like the mighty mountain
Your justice flows like the ocean’s tide
I will lift my voice
To worship You my King
And I will find my strength
In the shadow of Your wings
(Song and lyrics by Third Day)
As we enter into the holiday season . . . the busiest, craziest, and most wonderful time of the year . . . my wish for you, my friends, are moments stolen alone with God . . . times of renewal . . . where you’ll find true peace.
Blessings to you,
P.S. Yes, that is the view from my back deck. I am grateful every day that God has given me things to enjoy that I don’t deserve, rather than the things I do deserve. He truly is a God of restoration.

What a lovely way to start my Monday. Thank you for the inspirational post. The photo is beautiful as are the words. Reflection should be a part of every day but we do get caught up in the race to get things done. This is a crazy time of year with two big holidays back to back. But all in all it is about gratitude, thanksgiving, joy, peace, and family.
