Sometime around 6:00 in the morning my head and my body start a conversation that goes something like this:
Head: I have so many ideas for the fun things we can do today!
Body: Be quiet and let me sleep.
Head: But if you sleep too late we won’t get everything accomplished!
Body: If I don’t get enough sleep we’ll be tired all day and won’t get everything accomplished either.
Body nestles down under the covers anticipating another hour or so of sleep. Head agrees that it feels quite snug pressed into this squishy down pillow but still can’t keep from swirling with words and pictures. Body allows Head a few creative thoughts, as long as she is allowed to be still and cozy, until the REAL Cozy, Old Beagle Cozy, agrees with Head that it is time to rise and shine.
Up onto the bed she jumps and begins pushing her hard face into mine like a little bulldozer (hence the nickname, Cozer the Bulldozer) and whining in the most annoying way.
So the day begins.

I’ve had so many comments and questions about the different aspects of my Dining Room Makeover that I decided to focus in on each, one post at a time. First, these blue and white hanging wall vases. Where did I buy them, or did I make them, and if I made them, how?
No, I did not make them, though a creative person with a glass cutter certainly could.
I found them at a Marshall’s store quite some time ago, used them for awhile in my old house, then stuck them in a closet for an even longer while. When I started pulling my dining room together I “shopped my house” and was delighted to find them again in a storage closet.
So though I haven’t seen anything like them recently in a store I did some research online and found a couple of different varieties of blue and white vases on Amazon.
I also found many other styles and colors of wall vases while searching, four hundred pages to be exact!
I’ve included some links for you here in case you are interested in purchasing vases similar to mine. Simply click on the pictures below to see them in more detail or to make a purchase.
To see the many other varieties of wall vases I came across simply type Hanging Vases in the search box once you are in the Amazon website.
Head: I’m so glad you got up out of bed and allowed me to share some of my thoughts this morning. Thank you.
Body: You’re welcome. Is it time for another cup of coffee?

Absolutely beautful!! I love decorating with things I’ve tucked away. It’s like finding a hidden treasure. And oh do I get those morning conversations. I started one the other day at 3:30am. Writing in my head. Boy did I need my coffee that day! Blessings!!

Your vases are beautiful art work, Patti. Don’t you love it when you rethink something you already have? That’s one of my goals in this new year…instead of buying more that we don’t need.
Have a great weekend.

Patti, I love the wall vases and grouping them together in the frame certainly makes a statement! You have such a talent for putting things together. Wanted to ask you a question. My sil lives in NC. She has asked me to fly out the first week in April for the Charleston House and Garden Festival. We are booking some tours, but is there any fabulous shops, thrift, or antique stores that we need to be aware of? 🙂 Also, anything else you think is a ‘must see?
hugs,
Jann

I love your hanging blue vases! Such a wonderful find at Marshall’s. I chucked reading your head/body convo, and then your sweet doggie… my cat is just like your precious dog… and expects me to be up at a certain time every morning, and could care less that I want a few more winks of sleep, lol! 🙂

I must be crazy. I like the idea with the vases, but in reality I just enjoyed the friendship of head and body…they do have to walk together so they need to get along. You are a blessing. Uniquely yours, Chris

Patti I LOVE these! I had no idea that wall pocket vases were available. I have a vintage one that was my grandmother’s tucked away in storage. Someday soon I hope to be able to get it out. Your arrangement is so inspiring with the frame around the vases. Again…. you are soooo clever!!!
Hope your week has been warmer and blessed! [hugs]

Hi again Patti,
First off, I love your wall finish. Is it wallpaper or a faux finish? I’m a licensed faux finish and decorative painter so I can’t help but notice walls and professional paint finishes. The grey tones really make your wall art pop. I love the vases and I do love blue and white. This is such a gorgeous area. <3

Your framed vases look lovely on you wall. I saw that someone asked about your walls, whether or not they are faux painted. I want to jump in and say I really like your walls. I saw your link at Jody and Stan’s Simple and Sweet Friday’s party.
