How are you feeling this holiday season? Based upon my quiet observation of: people rolling down their windows and laying on horns to let those stopped in the middle of the intersection know just how stupid they really are, tired shoppers snapping at exhausted clerks in long lines at the shopping mall, or sobbing toddlers in a heap on the floor begging their mamas to be done already, I’d say that there is quite a bit of Grinchyness of spirit going around this year.
So I’m pulling up a post from Christmas past to share with you again. I do hope it strikes a chord with those of you who may be feeling a bit undone and lacking in Christmas cheer.

Oh, I need this. There are so many grinch types. I’m almost glad I’m on quasi-bed rest so I can pretend the world is like a Hallmark movie!! xo
Patti says
I hope your recovery is coming along very well Jen. Take care and Merry Christmas!
Anita Ojeda says
I count myself fortunate because I live 90 miles from the closest mall :). I’ve learned to just relax and enjoy my family (and I shop for gifts on line or WAY ahead of time!).
Patti says
You are fortunate indeed Anita. The bustle of Christmas in the city can be fun, though stressful. Merry Christmas.
Linda Stoll says
Patti, hello! I’m biding that grinch and all his annoying pals far from me, keeping it simple, claiming gratitude, saying “yes please” to what matters most … and letting alot of stuff go.
Thanks for your encouraging words … so good to meet you at Holley’s today!
Blessings to you and yours this Advent …
Patti says
Thank you for coming by to comment Linda. Blessings to you as well this wonderful Christmas season.

Like Anita, I live far from a mall — or any intense shopping center, so I shop on line and try to do as much in advance as I can so December can be spent with baking and wrapping and music and family. I’m off to read your post, and smiling because my kids love this Grinchy extended movie, even though I gripe every year that they’ve taken less than 30 minutes of content and stretched it out over a 90 minute movie.
Patti says
You are lucky to be out in the country and away from the NOISE. I hope you have a blessed and wonderful Christmas with your family Michele.
