The final part of my Southern Gardens Tour is the historic Kilgore-Lewis House in downtown Greenville, South Carolina. It is nestled in a park-like setting on 3-1/2 acres of woods, gardens and a small lake. You can link to their site HERE if you’d like to know more about the house and/or events. I took SO many pictures here that it was really hard to choose which ones to share with you. I hope you enjoy the tour.
Here are a few pictures I took of the inside of the house first:
On to the outdoors:
I hope you’ve enjoyed this three part Southern Gardens Tour. All of these gardens are in the Upstate region of South Carolina and the plants are very similar to those we grew back in Washington State . . . only BIGGER! I’ve never seen such huge azaleas in my life! Last week we were in the Low Country of SC, out on the coast, and many of the plants that grow there are quite different. That region is considered tropical, whereas we are considered sub-tropical in the Greenville area. Anyway, I was in Heaven all day long as I moved from one home to the next. There is just something about a Spring garden that makes my heart sing. How about you?
If you didn’t catch Part 1 or Part 2 be sure to link back to see a mix of very different garden styles.
Blessings,
